My name is Doris, and I'm a passionate and driven entrepreneur with a deep love for the beauty industry. Raised in a small town by my father, I grew up as a tomboy who often felt like I blended into the background. It wasn’t until after my father’s passing, while searching for direction in life, that I discovered my true calling—cosmetology. A simple school tour turned into a life-changing moment, and from that day forward, I knew I had found my path.
I began cosmetology school in 2018 and proudly graduated on Halloween of 2019—a date that has become especially meaningful to me. Before I knew it, I had my license in hand and immediately began working in a salon as a stylist and makeup artist.
What I love most about working in this field is the opportunity to connect with a diverse range of people every single day. Whether it's helping someone transform their style or gaining the trust of elderly clients who rarely let anyone touch their hair, I thrive on the challenge and the reward. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing the joy and confidence on a client’s face after a session—it’s a constant reminder of why I do what I do.
Our Future
I am currently launching my mobile cosmetology business, specializing in on-site styling for special occasions, events, and festivals. Alongside these services, I will continue to offer special order requests covering all aspects of cosmetology to meet the unique needs of my clients.
My vision is to grow this small, women-owned & operated business into a franchise that celebrates individuality and empowers people to feel beautiful, confident, and fulfilled. While I understand that growth takes time and dedication, I remain committed to my long-term goals.
I am open to specialized contracts and am actively seeking a sponsor who not only believes in my vision but is also willing to mentor me and support the development of my business. As a first-time business owner, I value guidance and partnership that will help me turn this dream into a thriving reality.
